About me
Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a food photographer and raw dessert maker in Sydney. Many know me as Sammy Beasley, aka a huge dessert fan. Over the last few years, I made it my mission to create vegan and healthier alternatives to everyday desserts that wouldn’t cause health issues and that I could enjoy after work—aka desserts without the guilt! I'm a big advocate for balance, so I wanted to find a way to incorporate desserts and fitness into my life without restriction.
Throughout my life, I found that dairy products didn’t agree with my body, so I tweaked recipes to create healthier alternatives. Soon after, I fell in love with vegan desserts, particularly raw desserts. I have always loved being in the kitchen and being creative, but when I hit my early 20s, I was gifted my first DSLR camera, and that was where my food photography journey began. I started experimenting in the kitchen even more. Most of my recipes are completely raw and are made of coconuts, dates, and nuts, and I use natural ingredients wherever I can. I am also a big-time foodie, so throughout my website, I have featured my photography work from both a product perspective and also cafes that I have shot for, along with the drool-worthy eats I have been able to enjoy.
